| La Mantarraya Golf Course, Las Hadas Manzanillo |
Golf
Manzanillo has four lush golf courses: La Mantarraya, Isla Navidad, El tamarindo and Club santiago
La Mantarraya: Rated by Golf Digest magazine as one of the top 100 courses
in the world, the 18-hole, par 71 Las Hadas La Mantarraya links were designed by
Pete and Roy Dye to offer beginner and experienced golfer amazing sites and challenges.
The course is set amid towering palms, serene lagoons and scenic tropical vegetation
with exciting surprises and views of the spectacular Manzanillo Bay and ocean.
Don't miss out on the climactic 18th hole "million dollar Island Green" tee off with
the magnificent Pacific Ocean sparkling in the foreground.
 |
| Golf El Tamarindo |
Isla Navidad: Isla Navidad is one the most lush golf resorts in the world,
with 27 holes that offer spectacular ocean, lagoon and mountain views. The tee boxes
are better than 90% of the greens in the U.S., and the fairways are like an emerald
carpet. They spared not a peso in building this beautiful course.
Golf El Tamarindo: El Tamarindo is one of the most special sites in the world.
The greatest challenge of the design was not to overwork the property, but to assist
mother nature with what was given. The site contains a tremendous nature preserve,
with spectacular plant diversity and exciting view corridors that rival the greatest
golf courses of the world.
The jungle holes wander through valleys of giant native trees. According to nature's
calendar, they explode into an incredible color display of tropical blooms. Where
the course exits the jungle onto three breathtaking ocean front holes, more shots
are taken with cameras than golf clubs. The ocean is seen from nine holes with
spectacular beaches, and crashing surf.
Club santiago: Small, semi-private course located at Club Santiago.
Play a quick round that takes you throught a valley behind the foothills of
Manzanillo and around a large salt water lagoon.
Tennis
If tennis is your passion, imagine playing day or night on beautifully maintained
courts amid the tropical splendor of lush coconut palms. Manzanillo's resorts have
excellent facilities.
Land Activities
Several hotels have fitness centers with state-of-the-art equipment. If your routine
calls for jogging, our wide, pristine beaches offer a perfect invitation. Horseback
riding and tours of the general area are also available.

Weddings - Weddingmoons - Honeymoons
Mexico has some excellent places to get married alongside some picture perfect
scenarios. If you want to get married in Mexico, there is nothing legal or technical stopping you
from doing so; but you will need to plan ahead and get a few documents together.
For couples looking to tie the knot during their getaway, many resorts
offer wedding
packages that come complete with the services of an onsite wedding coordinator.
- Certified copies of Birth Certificate or valid passport.
- Blood tests. These are done in Mexico. Most resorts can have a
doctor come to the resort to administer the blood test.
- STD tests including HIV
- A copy of your tourist permit (you'll receive it upon arrival in Mexico.)
- Four witnesses (and hotels can provide those if the two of you are traveling
alone)
- If one or both have been married before, you will need to present a copy of
the divorce certificate; if one of you is a widow or widower, a death certificate
of the previous spouse is necessary.
- Also, know that marriage ceremonies are performed in Spanish.
Your wedding coordinator will be on hand to translate your vows.
Validity Outside of Mexico
Your Marriage Certificate will be valid world-wide, BUT you should
get your certificate 'legalized' in Mexico to ensure it is legally accepted
when you get back home. The process is the reverse of getting your native
documentation legalized by the necessary authorities
(e.g. Foreign Office / State Department) for marriage in Mexico.
Two Marriages: Civil and Religious
The Civil Marriage
Only a civil marriage is recognized as legal in Mexico.
You don't need to engage in a religious ceremony but if
you omit the civil ceremony, the marriage will not be legal.
Most Mexicans have two marriages: the civil (legal) marriage
and the church (religious) one.
The Religious Marriage
If you would like to get married in a church in Mexico,
this can be arranged, although additional planning and
fees will be required.
